Hope Elizabeth Triplett, 70, a resident of Winslow House Care Center in Marion, Iowa passed away peacefully on March 8th 2024 from a long battle with cancer and COPD.
Hope was born May 27th 1953 to Ralph L. Triplett and Beverly J. Scott-Triplett at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Growing up she enjoyed time spent with her grandmother, Helen May Bennett-Triplett. Hope loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She played the violin and loved to sing. Her favorite book was The Diary of Anne Frank. Her favorite place was at a lake spending time camping and fishing. Her most joyous times were spent with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Hope’s greatest friend was Bill W. and she recently celebrated 16 years of sobriety.
She is survived by her son, Robert Leroy (Holly) Dripps of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her daughter, Kristin Kay (Jack) McCall III of Lisbon, Iowa, three brothers; Darrell Triplett, Jeffrey Triplett, Christopher Singer; one foster sister, Marla Stanley, seven grandchildren; Cassie, Samantha, Robert Jr. , Alexis, Rachael, Andrew and Sierra, 5 great-grandchildren; Katie, Andrew, Cameron, Ellie and Mia, many nieces and nephews, and special friends; Nancy Rottman, Rita Felker and Lu Strohm.
Hope was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Diane Triplett-Running and Faith Triplett-Pederson and two brothers, Duane and Vernon Triplett.
The family gives special thanks to Unity Point Hospice, Winslow House Care Center, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and New City Church.
