Robert M. Kail

Robert “Bob” M. Kail, age 69, of Millbrook, IL passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born on March 27, 1954 in Peoria, IL the son of William and Betty (Lorey) Kail.

Robert was united in marriage on September 29, 1973 to the former Deana Williams and they spent the next 50 years happily together. Bob was employed for 33 years by Caterpillar in Montgomery, IL until his retirement. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Deana Kail of Millbrook, IL; his children, Robert (Dawn) Kail of Sandwich, IL, Steven (Melissa) Kail of Kell, IL, and Melanie (Ryan Schuman) Kail of Sheridan, IL; his grandchildren, Hannah Kail, Jenna Kail, Nathan Kail, Jade Tonozzi, Jonathan Kail, and Riley Schuman; his sisters, Karla Giannotti, Sue Harris, Lonny (Donald) Cassidy, Merry Colmenero, and Vicki Kail; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Kail.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South Street, Plano, IL. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
