Robert J. Houk

Robert J. Houk, age 74, of Boiling Springs, SC went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s.

He served in the US Navy aboard the USS New Jersey BB 62 in the Vietnam War.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Edna Houk.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Corn Houk; son, Scott; daughter, Kim (Chris Coker); brother, Harold (Fran); cousin, Pat Knowles (Whit); grandchildren, Drew, Eliza, Nataly, Kayla and Daniel; and great-grandson, Chance.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM Sunday, January 16, 2022 at East Hendersonville Baptist Church, where Robert was a beloved member for 40 years, with Pastor Carroll Poole officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Hendersonville Baptist Church, 1010 Shepherd St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
