Robert Engel

Robert Engel, 68, of Sugarcreek, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a period of declining health.

A son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Eckelberry) Engel, Robert was born May 25, 1953 at Dover, Ohio.

Robert graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1971. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Cindy. Robert could often be found relaxing on his porch swing and feeding the squirrels. Robert also had a love for dogs and was preceded in death by his dear companion, Emmitt. Most of all, Robert cherished his sons, Jordan and Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy (Lab) Engel whom he married on October 16, 1977; his sons, Jordan Engel of Sugarcreek and Taylor (Samantha Fabynick) Engel of Dover and a grandson, William Fabynick.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
