Robert “Bob” Christopher Longcore

Robert “Bob” Christopher Longcore, 59, of Spaulding, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home. He was born December 22, 1961, the son of Edward W. and Margaret “Peggy” Marie (Wanless) Longcore. He married Mary Ann Thompson on October 19, 2002.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann; one sister, Mary (Marty) Hemberger of Chatham; one brother, Edward Longcore of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert graduated from Southeast High School in 1980. In 1986 he received an AA in automotive and in 1988, an AA in electronics from LLCC. He worked at Sear’s Automotive from 1981-1987 and Bowman Distribution from 1987-1991. Robert opened PC Electronics in 1991 and Warpnet in 1993.

Robert was a devout Christian and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and beloved pets. He loved treasure hunting, history, playing Outback Jack, and motorcycling.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Monday, April 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Manuel Cuizon officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League.
