Rita Felicitas Hauger Walker

Rita Felicitas Hauger Walker, 90, of Hendersonville, NC passed away on June 4, 2021 at her home on Sonny Walker Trail.

A native of Mannheim, Germany, she had been a resident of Henderson County for 52 years after her late husband, Ollie Lamar Walker retired from the Army.  Lici retired from Pardee Hospital as an operating room technician.

Lici was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Walker; son, Kevin Walker; grandsons, Benjamin Gilbert and Timothy Vannoy; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Walker.

She is survived by a son, Brian Walker of Decatur, TX; two daughters, Diana Walker Justice and her husband Gerald, and Susan Walker Gilbert and husband Ronnie of Hendersonville; seven grandchildren, Felicia Carter and husband Matthew, Ashley Poore and husband Josh, Robert “Bobby” Walker, Marcus Walker, Mark Gilbert and wife Beth, Rita Vannoy, and Carolyn Walker; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Joan Walker and Marthene Litman and husband Jim of Hendersonville; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.  The Walkers lovingly accepted Lici into their family 73 years ago.

At Rita’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.  She will always be in our hearts.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Foundation, 211 N. Main Street, Hendersonville, NC.

Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure.
