Peggy was born on February 6, 1939, to Olive and Rollo VanCamp in Davenport, Iowa. Her family relocated to Centerville, Iowa and she graduated from Centerville High School in 1957. She pursued her passion for nursing at St. Luke’s Nursing School where she began her lifelong membership to the Tri-Sigma’s sorority. Peggy was a member of St. Mary’s Guild and was very involved in her church.

Peggy crossed paths with Bill Driscoll at Hi Way Gardens in Stanwood and their connection blossomed into a beautiful union. On May 7, 1960, Peggy and Bill were married and together they settled in Tipton where they lovingly raised their children, Dennis and Nancy. She dedicated herself to the Tipton Community School system as the school nurse for 29 years, providing compassion and care to thousands of students.

Peggy’s commitment to the community extended beyond her profession. She spent her time volunteering for the Cedar County ARC, her church and Meals on Wheels. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to helping others have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Through the years Peggy also enjoyed caring for her flower gardens, reading, antiquing, decorating her home, shopping, traveling with Bill, card club nights, and spending time with cherished family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her husband Bill, son Dennis (Debbie) Driscoll, daughter Nancy Driscoll, granddaughter Carrie (John) Warden, sisters Pat (Jon) Arehart and Pam Semlow, and brother-in-law Gene Driscoll, plus many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Olive and Rollo VanCamp, infant brother James VanCamp, mother and father-in-law Charles and Lucile Driscoll, nephew David Driscoll, brothers-in-law Skip Semlow and Dan Clark, and sisters-in-law Pat Clark (Driscoll) and Judy Driscoll.
