Patricia Ann DeMeo

Patricia Ann DeMeo, age 86, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, July 1, 2022, in Park Village South at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
Born on December 10, 1935, in the family’s Midvale home, Patricia was a daughter of the late Ernst C. and Mary Agnes Tylka Bertoline.
She attended school at Midvale and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic School. On August 6, 1953, Pat, as she was best known to family and friends, married Milo “Soc” DeMeo and as a couple raised two sons. As a family, they enjoyed spending their summer months camping at Pride Valley in Malvern and maintaining an ever-busy social life.
Pat was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia and for many years served in various capacities with the New Philadelphia VFW Auxiliary, the Lady Elks #510, and enjoyed many activities as a member of the local Red Hat group. Pat worked for many years as a cook for the New Philadelphia City Schools and often put her skills to work baking delicious cookies and helping at many spaghetti dinner fundraisers for the various organizations with which she was affiliated.
Pat is survived by her son, Marc (Mieke) DeMeo of New Philadelphia, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Milo “Soc” DeMeo on October 24, 2021; a son, Rodney “Chico” DeMeo; a sister, Pauline Davis, and a brother, Terry Bertoline.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jeff Coning on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
