Pamela K. Carroll, 73, of Mansfield, passed away late Thursday evening, December 9, 2021, at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Born Pamela Kay Burdge on March 8, 1948, in Fort Meade, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Buncie Jo (Gayheart) and Paul Harrison Burdge. She graduated from Shelby High School and worked for many years at Therm-O-Disc. Pam attended Fusion Church in Lexington. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was devoted to her family and they were her highest priority. Pam loved watching Hallmark movies, reading and being at the ocean.
She is survived by two sons, Todd Carroll and Chad Carroll; five grandchildren, Bryce (Holly) Carroll, Kyra (Dayrel) Carroll, James Thompson, Jacob Thompson, and Joyce Thompson; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alicia Brown and Twyla Knapp; a brother, Rodney (Terresa) Burdge; an aunt, Georgia (Ken) Barnett; and an uncle, Lowell (Pat) Gayheart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Carroll; and daughter, Melissa Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Garrett officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
