Pamela Jean (Holm) Dorgan, Marion IA, passed away Friday Sept 5, 2025, at Oldorf Hospice House, surrounded by loved ones and holding hands with the love of her life, Tim Dorgan.

Pam was born June 2, 1954, in Waterloo, IA to Gertrude Kahn. She was raised with five siblings, Theodore Holm, Larry Holm, Lynda White, Kevin Holm, and Jerry Cramer. Her family moved to Manchester, where she graduated from West Delaware High School in 1972. After graduation, she married Dean Holtz. The couple farmed near Manchester and had three children, Joshua, Jessica, and Emily. They later divorced.

Pam graduated from Mount Mercy College with a Social Work degree. She worked for Four Oaks, Iowa Department of Human Services and Partnership for Safe Families.

She met her soul mate, Tim Dorgan, in 1994 and the couple wed February 14, 2008. As a couple, they enjoyed cooking, canning, camping, traveling, dancing (and of course a little time at the casino).

Preceding her from this world were her mom, siblings Teddy, Larry, Lynda and Jerry, and her beloved son Joshua. Holding tight to her memories are her survivors Tim, daughters Jessica (Tim) Quinn, Emily (Casey) Cole, Laura Holtz (Joshua’s wife), step-daughters Megan Dorgan and Erin Dorgan (Ron Tourville), brother Kevin (Kristine) Holm, grandchildren Ali (Aaron) Primrose, Ashley (Josh) Schmitt, Abby (Brandon) Sweet, Andrew, Avery, Anderson and Ava Holtz, Brady and Delaney Quinn, Bella and Bennett Cole, Reiley Dorgan, Lily and William Beimer, great-grandchildren Zander Delabra, Nora Schmitt, Lando Primrose and Jaydon Sweet, many nieces and nephews and besties Kathy and Steve Dolan.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Prairie Oak Lodge, Wanatee Park, Marion, IA.

A special “Thank You” to the caring staffs of MercyCare Marion, Mercy Medical Center, Hall-Perrine Cancer Center, UIHC, Oldorf Hospice House and Mary and Carmen with Hospice of Mercy for their kind, patient, and professional care of Pam.

Memorials may be directed to the family to create a scholarship for students with a passion for Social Work at Mount Mercy University.

Think of Pam when you see an eagle, they are her spirit animal.
