Otley Lloyd Smith, III

Otley Lloyd “Smitty” Smith, III, 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Granbury.

Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 A.M., Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury.  Funeral services will follow at 10 A.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.

Otley was born on January 22, 1949, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Otley, Jr. and Marie Smith.  On June 21, 2013, Otley married Tammy Westbrook.  In his youth, he enjoyed racing dirt bikes and cars.  Recently, Otley enjoyed his passion for being a private pilot and for being a boat captain on fishing trips!  Otley was part owner of Oncore Technology, a medical waste disposal company.  He attended the Triple Cross Cowboy Church.

Otley is survived by his wife, Tammy; his children, Otley, IV and wife Kristy; step-sons, Tommy Atkinson Jr and wife Sarah and Timmy Atkinson; his in-laws, Bill & Doris Westbrook; grandchildren, Daniele and husband Nick Knee and Shelby and husband Austin Randol, Haley, Otley V, Sierra, Natalie, NatNat and Thomas III; great-grandchildren Nixon, Dawsyn, Bowen and Magnolia; his sisters Cheryl Van Haselen and husband Bruce; Cissi Cole and husband Gary; and by his long-time friends, Rickie J Williamson, Joe Alvarado and Jim Fletcher; and by many more friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Otley was preceded in death by his brother, Michael.
