Obituary: Jakob Ross Wingfield
- July 12, 2022
A young life taken too soon. Jakob Ross Wingfield of Dayton, Nevada passed on May 7, 2022 at the age of 24. Jake was born on March 26, 1998 in Carson City, Nevada.
He lived in Carson with his parents and his three brothers, where he completed most of his schooling. Jake and his family relocated to Chino Valley, Arizona for a short period of time, where he earned his GED at Yavapai Community College, and returned to Carson City in January of 2017. After 6 months in Carson the family moved to Dayton, Nevada.
Jake was trying to find his “niche” in life working various jobs including construction, landscape, house remodeling, manufacturing, and handyman work. He enjoyed anything to do with the water and the outdoors: going to the beach at Lake Tahoe and Lahontan, kayaking down the Truckee River, fishing and camping at Topaz Lake, target practicing at the range, and hiking the hills and valleys of Carson and Dayton! He especially loved being around his family. He was a wonderful and loving son, grandson, and brother whose heart was made of gold!
Jakob will be dearly missed but never forgotten. He is preceded in death by his mother Julie Wingfield, grandfathers Noel Page and Jack Wingfield and step grandfather Ross Price. He is survived by his father Jason Wingfield, his brothers Justin, Jarrod, and Jayden, and his grandmothers Arlene Price and Deanie Wingfield, as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins who will miss him immensely.
There will be a celebration of life for Jakob on Saturday August 20, 2022 at the Nevada Beach Lake Tahoe pavilion from 2:30-7:30pm. It will include BBQ, music, sun, surf, and memories of Jake. Please RSVP with Jason Wingfield at (775)315-8493 or DM on FB if you plan on attending so that we plan for enough food.
