Douglas Clark

DOUGLAS DARRELL CLARK
December 6, 1950 – April 27, 2021
Funeral services for Mr. Douglas Darrell Clark will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 29, 2021, at Friendship Baptist Church, Pine Prairie. Mr. Clark, 70, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, in his residence with his loving family by his side.
Reverend Barry Gautreaux will officiate.
Internment will follow in Clark Cemetery, Crooked Creek Community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
A time of visitation was held at Friendship Baptist Church, Pine Prairie, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation will resume today, April 29, 2021, at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Douglas was a hardworking man who loved his family, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and especially his wife of 48 years. He loved music and sang and played guitar all of his life. He enjoyed hunting with his family. He was a fighter all the way to the end of life’s road. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years, Jennifer Goodman Clark, of Pine Prairie; one son, Darrell Clark, of Pine Prairie; two daughters, Jeneane Miller, and her husband, Joey, of Pine Prairie and Mandy Welch, and her husband, Roger, of Cypress Creek Community; three brothers, Q. A. Clark, of McNary, R. D. Clark, and his wife, Earline, of Jena, and Billy Clark, and his wife, Sherry, of Pine Prairie; three sisters, Faye Martin, of Pineville, Delnita Dupre, and her husband, Robert, of Pine Prairie, and Nelda Atkinson, and her husband, Larry, of Gonzales; eight grandchildren, MaKaila Faircloth, Kaitlyn Andrepont, Dustin Daigle, Alyssa Dupre, Jennifer Dupre, Randy Welch, William Clark, and Gracie Clark; and four great-grandchildren, Aurora Faircloth, Maia Faircloth, Cason Daigle, and Kaisley Kratzer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Clark; one son, Jerrad Clark; one grandson, Cody Andrepont; two brothers, Donald Clark and Dean Clark; three sisters, Lorraine Clark, Weeda Murray, and Jeanette Maricle.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Dustin Daigle, Daniel O’Neal, Jerry O’Neal, Brian Clark, Brad Murray, and Danny Maricle.

MITCHELL ARDOIN
October 9, 1962 – April 16, 2021
Funeral services for Mitchell Ardoin, 58, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Owens Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Mitchell, a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Lake Charles, departed this life on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Methodist of Dallas Hospital.
Burial will follow the services at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte under the direction of Owens Thomas Funeral Home.
A wake will precede the funeral service.
He is survived by his daughter, Tequila Rae Jones, of Dallas, Texas; sons, Walter Lee Fontenot Jr. and Mark Anthony Fontenot, both of Dallas, Texas; sister, Emerland Marie Janice, of Ville Platte; brother, Christopher V. Ardoin, of Ville Platte; four grandchildren; four aunts; and a host of relatives and friends.

RUBY GALLOW
November 21, 1955 – April 23, 2021
Funeral services for Ruby Gallow, 65, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Owens Thomas Funeral Home in Eunice. Ruby, a resident of Lafayette, departed this life on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
Burial will follow the services at the Ninth Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte under the direction of Owens Thomas Funeral Home.
A wake will precede the funeral service.
She is survived by her sisters, Gloria Gallow and Karen Denton, both of Lafayette, and Rose Anna Freeman, of Mamou, and Shirlean Johnson, of Beaumont, Texas.

LEE JEFFREY WILLIAMS
November 19, 1947 – April 24, 2021
Funeral services for Lee Jeffrey Williams, 73, will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. at Owens Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Lee, a resident of Ville Platte, departed this life on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center.
Reverend Lawrence Dick will officiate the services.
Burial will follow the services at the Ninth Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte under the direction of Owens Thomas Funeral Home.
A wake will precede the funeral service at 11:30 a.m.
He is survived by his daughters, Lesher Williams, of Humble, Texas, Lee Nell Brookes, of Fresno, Texas, Shamekka Jack, of Jacksonville, Florida, Rena Smith and Christina Jack, both of Ville Platte, and Chelsa Winfrey, of Minot, North Dakota; sons, Anetria Cambell and Kevin West, both of Ville Platte, and Ray Williams, of Missouri City, Texas; brothers, Alvin Williams of Beaumont, Texas; and Ernest Williams Jr. and Oscar Williams, both of Lake Charles; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

KWAN ANDERSON
August 23, 1984 – April 18, 2021
Funeral services for Kwan Anderson, 36, were held on Saturday, April 26, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Owens Thomas Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Kwan, a resident of Ville Platte, departed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
Reverend Jermain Tezeno officiated the services.
Burial followed the services at the St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery in Ville Platte under the direction of Owens Thomas Funeral Home.
A wake preceded the funeral service at 10 a.m.
He is survived by his father, Hanless Watson, of Ville Platte; sons, Kwandez Anderson and Tylan Anderson, both of Lake Charles, and Jacob Anderson and Jace Anderson, both of Ville Platte; sisters, Carmesha Anderson, Trenitka Anderson, Barbara Watson, and Margaret Poullard, all of Ville Platte, Nella Chapman, of Mamou, and Marilyn Simien and Joycie Simien, both of Lake Charles, and Bridgett Hinton, of Baton Rouge; and brother, Norman Gallow, of Ville Platte.
