Norma Jane McBride

Norma Jane McBride, 81, of Mansfield, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 25, 2021, at James Cancer Center and Richard Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio. She was born April 8, 1940, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Ira and Marie (Griebling) Rider.
She was an amazing homemaker who loved gardening, canning, cooking and baking and made the BEST pies of all kinds. Her cookies, fudge and buckeyes were family favorites. Norma was a champion at finding a bargain at one of her favorite spots, Goodwill. She especially enjoyed being outside, visiting parks, having a picnic or sharing special family time. Norma was the rock and fortress of her family and will be deeply missed by many.
Norma is survived by her husband of 59 years, Willard Jay McBride whom she married on April 15, 1962; four children, Tammy (Chuck) Marquis of Bucyrus, Mike (Beth) McBride and Ken McBride, both of Mansfield and Ron McBride (fiancée, Melissa Newman) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Joshua Fellows (fiancée, Debbie Edwards), Levi Fellows, Amber Fellows (fiancé, John Montgomery), Caroline McBride; and five great-grandchildren, Monica and Joy Fellows, Adrianna Mincy, and Aiden and Christopher Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Rider.
Private family services will be observed. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
