Nita M. Mack, age 86 of Sycamore, IL passed away at her home on Thursday, October 21, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1934 in Gatesville, TX the daughter of Alex E. and Callie (White) Van Winkle.
Nita was employed for many years as an Accounting Supervisor at General Electric in DeKalb, IL. She enjoyed growing her favorite flower, the sunflower and spending time doing crafts. Nita was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Nita is survived by her daughters, Debra (Elvis) Tail of S.D. and Carla (Tony) Rivera of DeKalb, IL; her special friend, Calvin McDonald of Sycamore, IL; her grandchildren, Megan (Tim) McCarthy of Kankakee, IL, Clayt (Cori) Wolfe of Bourbonnais, IL and Rachel (Ryan) Wold of Oswego, IL.; her great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Wolfe, Ellie and Alexandra Wold; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Callie Van Winkle; her former husband, Thomas C. Mack, the father of her daughters; her brother, Gayle Van Winkle; and her sisters, Erma Lee McCallister, Connie Wright and Shirley Norris.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 East Garfield Street, Waterman, IL. Interment will follow in the North Clinton Cemetery in Waterman, IL.
