Mr. Sam M Johnson
- January 19, 2022
Sam Maurice Johnson was born in Safford, Alabama on July 28, 1951, to Edward and Frances Johnson. He received Christ at an early age.
Sam was loving, kind, funny and a no-nonsense kind of guy. He loved to listen to music, cook, and go fishing with his brothers. Sam was a cancer survivor but vowed to never give up; he fought long and hard to stay healthy because he wanted to live a long life. Sam was indeed a warrior and special.
Sam was proceeded in death by his parents. He had eleven siblings, four preceded in death by Willie James Johnson, Joe Johnson, Mattre Hawkins and Ethel Bennett. Survived by Marguerite Harris, Roberta Brown, Katherine Davis, Estella Reese, Betty Miller, Edward Johnson (Delores Johnson), Monroe Johnson (Angela Johnson) and Eugene Johnson.
Sam leaves to cherish his loving memories with his children Derek Cotton, Sam Cotton, Jolanda Hill, Kwuan Hill and De’Angelo Jones; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Sam will be greatly missed.
