Monte Nathan Hagins

Monte Nathan Hagins was born on August 9, 1975, to Paula Jean Hagins and Nathan C. Hagins in Akron, Ohio. Monte was educated in the Akron Public School system and attended Firestone High School. He began working in the food service industry as a teenager and stayed in that profession for his entire life.
Although Monte had no church home, he believed in God.
During his young adulthood, Monte met a woman named Lekisha Bynum, and together they brought Monte Jr. into the world on December 15, 2003. Monte loved his son; Monte Jr. was his pride and joy.
Monte was a man who loved to joke with others, known to bring laughs to those around him. Monte loved to eat, he and his father would go to breakfast occasionally which was one of their favorite ways to spend time with one another. He also loved watching sports like basketball and football.
Monte was special to those who knew and loved him, he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary J. Cannon; great-grandfather, Serville Hagins; grandmother, Carlene Hagins; grandparents, Delbert Howard and Louise Howard; and mother, Paula Jean Madden.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Monte Nathan Hagins Jr., father, Nathan C. Hagins; stepfather, Jack Madden; step-siblings; aunts, Eleanor Hagins Hoover, and Arlene Hagins both of Columbus, OH, and Kim Hagins of Lake Mary, FL; uncles, Daniel (Margie) Hagins of Sanford, FL, Bruce (Anita) Hagins of Cleveland, OH, and Ephram Hagins of Tallahassee, FL; great aunt, Lillie M. Brown of Akron, OH; as well as a host of family and friends.
