Mindy Jo (Natte) Hadjis, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids with Trisagion service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Mindy was born Dec. 4, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Roger and Joan (Flemmig) Natte. Mindy graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1976, and studied nursing at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She earned her BSN at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. On March 15, 1986, Mindy was united in marriage to Alex Hadjis. In the beginning of her career, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, and taught Nursing at Iowa Central Community College. She retired as a nurse manager for the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Mindy was baptized in the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alex Hadjis; sons, Nick (Carly) Hadjis and John (Dani) Hadjis; grandchildren, Irelyn, Carter and Zoey Hadjis; sister, Tresia Natte; cousin, Mike (Lisa) Peterson; and her father, Roger (Joyce) Natte.

Mindy was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Natte.

Mindy, adored mother, wife, sister and daughter will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a fund for the Cancer Center at The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
