Mildred Dare Ruth nee Shipman 97,
Of Henderson County, North Carolina passed away early Tuesday, July 27th, 2021
at Kingsbridge house in Brevard.
Born April 7, 1924, in Graham County, North Carolina to Janie Owensby and Charlie Shipman
She lived most of her life in Mills River NC.

She is preceded in death by her Parents Janie Shipman Owensby and father Charlie Mose Shipman, brothers Edward Shipman, Glenwood Shipman, Warren G Shipman, and sister Nora Almond.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James B Ruth.
Her sisters, Ada Peek, and Edna Kay Shipman

Daughters Mildred McCarson and Janie Thompson, both of Hendersonville.
Son Ricky Lance also of Hendersonville.

Grandchildren; Megan McCarson, Lydia McCarson, Dakota Lance, and Toni Bryson.
Eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Mills River NC.

She was employed for 37 years at Terry Enterprises working as a machine spooler until she retired.

Services will be held at 2 pm August 1st, 2021 at Mt Gilead Baptist Church in Mills River NC
