Mildred Bonnell Grometer

Mildred Bonnell Grometer of Hinckley, IL passed away at her home surrounded by her family on    her 90 birthday, Friday, May 20, 2022. She was born in Missouri, the loving  daughter of Bernard and Rezina (Miller) Beaty.

Bonnell was united in marriage on November 10, 1951 to Mr. Carl Grometer and they spent the next 70 happy years of their lives together. She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Hinckley, IL. Mrs. Grometer was employed, for many years, as the Vice President of the Hinckley State Bank until her retirement. Bonnell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Grometer, of Hinckley, IL; her daughter, Debby (Douglas) Black, of DeKalb, IL; her five grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren.

Bonnell was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Rezina Beaty; her sons, Carl Anthony and Dale Edward Grometer; her daughter, Cindy Lynn Welch; her grandson Carl Michael Grometer; and her sister, Lucinda De Weese .

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 141 North Maple Street, Hinckley, IL with Rev. Dr. Reginald F. Sey officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home in Hinckley, IL.
