Micheal Wayne Jackson

Micheal “Mike” Wayne Jackson, 74, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Glen Rose, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023, in his home.

A graveside committal service will be held at 1 P.M., on Tuesday, June 13, at Sweet Water Cemetery, in Decatur, Texas.

Mike was born on September 25, 1948, in Decatur, Texas to Tommy and Uleta Jackson.  Mike married Sheila Slimp on August 27, 2011.  He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting.  A master craftsman, Mike made his living building cabinets and houses.  Mike “never met a stranger.”  Most of all, Mike will be remembered for the devotion had for his family.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sheila; his children, Christi and husband Brian Tribble, Tresha and husband Jeff Pinkerton, and Colby Jackson and Sherryl Rivera; grandchildren, Lauren, Ashton, Breton, Riley, Ashlynn, Selicity, and Caden; stepson, Kevin Jordan and stepdaughter, Shanna Goodwin; step-great-grandchildren, Kellah, Kaylin, and Dixie; and by his great-grandchildren, Carter, Shaun, Gavin, Ember, Hadley, Luke, and Brinley.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Margie, Doug, Diane, and Tony; and by his stepson, Chris McKee.
