Michael Vincent Ette, 63, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment at Keokuk National Cemetery. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael was born on Sept. 4, 1959, in Iowa, the son of Michael Ette and Phyllis Yoe. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Nimitz for 22 years, until his retirement in 1998. Michael was a life member of the VFW. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived and lovingly remembered by his mother, Phyllis (Don) Lewis of Keokuk, Iowa; children, Shaundi (Cody) Brakefield of Texas, Melissa (Jason) Priest of Marion, and Tim Ette of New York; grandchildren, Johnathan, Gracelyn and Karson Priest, Braidan Allendorf, Hailsley and Amelia Brakefield; and sister, Tammy Rudd of Donnellson, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Ette; and brother, Robert Ette.
