Michael Lee Williams, a beloved father, friend and advocate, passed away on April 5, 2023, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 70. He was born on Sept. 3, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Mary Magdalene Allen and James Edward Williams.

Michael’s parents and siblings, Mary Elizabeth, Dudley Allen, Dora Whitman and Mozella Jones, preceded him in death.

Michael is survived by his brother, Willie Brown.

Michael worked at Foundation 2 crisis center, where he touched many lives and left a lasting impression. Michael’s passion for advocacy and his unwavering commitment to helping those in need will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed watching sports and playing bingo. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his children Nieman, Lindsay, Mychala and Alex Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 23, to honor Michael’s memory.
