Matthew Brady

Matthew Samuel Brady, age 45, of Dover, went to be with the Lord early Friday, August 19, 2022, while in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover under the care of Community Hospice.

A son of Mary Susan Cheslock Brady of Dover and the Late Samuel Thomas Brady, Matthew was born in Union Hospital at Dover on December 14, 1976.

He was a graduate of Dover High School and worked for Goodwill Industries, Buehler’s Fresh Foods, and most recently, had been employed by Progressive Foam at Bolivar.

Matthew enjoyed tending to his fish aquariums, gaming, caring for his cat, Lilo, and sitting on his front porch, enjoying a cup of coffee. Matthew also never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to anyone he met.

In addition to his mother, Matthew is survived by his daughter, Olivia Brady of Dover, numerous cousins and their families, as well as many close friends.

In addition to his father, Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family will greet guests on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jimmy Hatfield on Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. All are invited to share in a time of food and fellowship in the church’s Family Life Center following the services.
