Mary Jane O’Donnell, nee Teister, age 72 of Chicago. Beloved wife of Thomas O’Donnell for 35 wonderful years. Devoted mother to Thomas (Kristin) Juozaitis, Brian (Jen Hoss) Juozaitis, and Michael (Jen Fippinger) Juozaitis.  Step-mother to Shawn O’Donnell, Kelly (Steve) Odegaard, and Mike (Dee) O’Donnell. Cherished grandmother to Patrick, Mary, Kellen, Kaia, Gabriella, Adrianna, Alec, Ian, Addyson, and Delaney. Loving sister to Patricia (the late Chris), Mark (Josephine), and the late Timothy (Mary Ann). Dear sister-in-law to Theresa (Mark), Loretta, Patricia (Frank), Jerome, and Kevin (Cynthia). Former wife of Al Juozaitis. Fond aunt and cousin to many.  Preceded in death by parents Adam and Mary Teister. Jane had a successful career in the world of Children’s and Educational Publishing, retiring in the role of Senior Buyer at McDougall Littell.  She was known for her tact under fire, sense of humor and ability to easily win over the most demanding people.  Jane earned her Associates Degree from Felician College, putting herself through school while raising three young boys.  In her free time, Jane loved gardening (waging a constant battle against weeds and deer), hosting family parties, playing with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband Tom.  Jane was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Woods Parish in Wildwood for nearly 50 years.


A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago from 4:00-8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Parish 7033 N Moselle Ave, Chicago, IL at 10:30am. Interment All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines IL.
