Martina “Marty” E. Jenot
Martina “Marty” E. Jenot, 93, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski. She was born February 20, 1929, in Springfield, the daughter of Benjamin and Frances Strebel Dillard. She married John Robert “Bob” Jenot on January 14, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1975.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Katherine Pelley and Alice Kuhn; and nephew, Terry Kuhn.
Survivors include her brother, Benjamin Dillard of Edinburgh and six nephews.
Marty was a resident of Springfield all her life. She graduated from Springfield High School and was of the Roman Catholic Faith. She loved working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Marty worked for Horace Mann Insurance for 46 years.
Visitation: 9 – 10 am, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Paul Lesupati officiating.
Graveside Service: 10 am, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
