Martha Jean Seymour

Martha Jean Seymour, 80, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her residence. Born October 9, 1941 in Hemlock, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Lonnie and Lena (Scott) Daniels.
A homemaker, her family was her life. Martha was a very giving soul who enjoyed helping others. She was steadfast in her faith and was a 50 year member of Journey Life Center. In her earlier years, Martha taught children’s classes and helped in the daycare at the church. She enjoyed cooking, flowers and watching the cardinals in her yard.
She is survived by her four children, Barbara (Scott) Cole, Paul (Jill) Seymour, Debra Seymour and Kathy McKean; her step son, Donald (Delores) Seymour, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve Teague) Wicker, Jacob (Kiera) Brinley, Nick (Tasha) McKean, Jessica Brinley, Tiffany (Brandon) Davis, Amanda (Codey) Jones and NaTasha (Brandon) Rinehart; many great grandchildren; three brothers, Archie (Anna) Daniels, Lonnie (Norma) Daniels and Richard (Denise) Daniels; a sister-in-law, Ruth Lanane; and a special nephew, Irvin (Patty) Daniels.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Seymour; a son, Jeffrey Seymour; four sisters, Mavadell, Mae, Madge, Phyllis and Margaret; and a brother, Robert.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Bruce Philippi. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral service, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home on Thursday.
