Marilyn Serna

Marilyn Serna, age 91, passed away on Wednesday October 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to the late John Serna of 62 years, Mary was a long-time resident of Des Plaines, IL. She is survived by her children, Mike, Bob (Echo), Jeff (Jennifer), Dave (Yolanda) and a very proud Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Spending time with her family is what she loved most but also had a great love for almost anything sweet and watching the Hallmark channel. Mary will be remembered for her deep commitment to her family and was a role model for all who knew and loved her. She is already deeply missed by her family and friends! A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL. Funeral services will be held privately.
