Marilyn A. Minich, 83, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at Lutheran Village of Ashland Assisted Living. She was born in Lucas, Ohio on March 20, 1938 to the late Ivan and Helen (McClurg) Milligan.
Marilyn was a faithful member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and taught Sunday School. She loved making quilts and going to the church quilting groups. Marilyn loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She had a love and heart for red cardinals and enjoyed feeding them.
She is survived by her son, Chuck (Pam) Minich; daughter-in-law, Diana Minich; grandchildren, Derek (Kim) Barnhill, Corey (Kaylen) Minich, Kelson (Allison) Minich and Carlisa (Matthew) Crosby; three great-grandchildren with one of the way; brother, Ronnie (Ida) Milligan; sister, Pat Merchant; and best friends from kindergarten, Barb (Don) Long.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Minich who passed in 2004; son, Bryan Minich; and brothers, Leon Milligan, Dick Milligan and Jim Milligan.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond St., Mansfield. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 2, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Nezrick officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ or to Grace Evangelical Free Church.
