Maria Christina Arellano nee Yabut, of Chicago, lost her battle with cancer January 19, 2021. Beloved wife of Ricardo Arellano. Devoted mother to Luciana and Cameron. Adored daughter to Castor and Carolina Yabut. Loving sister to Christian (Dorothea) Yabut, Christopher (Jessneal) Yabut, Catherine (Kenny) Rabanales. Cherished aunt, cousin, and niece to many here and in the Phillipines. Maria Christina was a nurse for many years at various Chicago hospitals. She loved education and obtained two Master’s degrees in both nursing and business administration. She had a passion for travel, being a mentor, and encouraging others to succeed. Above all else, she loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago IL from 3:00-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held privately at St. Viator Catholic Parish.  Interment private.
