Lynn R. Beitzel

Lynn R. Beitzel, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 in Community Hospice-Truman House following a period of declining health.
Born January 31, 1944 in Stone Creek, he was the son of the late Roland and Rose (Mathias) Beitzel. Lynn was the former Owner and Operator of S&M Recycling at New Philadelphia and attended Dover Alliance Church at Dover. He was a longtime member of the Senior’s League at Five Waters Golf Course and enjoyed attending and meeting up with his friends at the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. He was an avid bowler and a lover of all sports and could often be found attending many area sporting events.
Surviving are his two sons, Sid L. (Susan) Beitzel of Eastanollee, Georgia and Scott (Cristin) Beitzel of Uhrichsville; five grandchildren, Drew, Cole and Annaston Betizel and Madison (Travis) Hemperly and Dylan (Cam Patterson) McKibben; a great granddaughter, Ella Rose Beitzel; two sisters, Marilyn Arbogast of Stone Creek and Lynda (Curt) Garber of New Philadelphia and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Lynn is preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Huff and three brothers-in-law, Gust Arbogast, Bob Huff and Dale McAfee.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes, he is to be cremated through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1 PM in Jerusalem Church Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Pastor Rick Rose officiating.
