Louise Donaldson

Louise Donaldson, 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Bridge Care Suites. She was born October 28, 1934 in Karnack, IL to Ralph and Pearl Elizabeth Patrick Miner.  She married Delbert Donaldson in 1953 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Christina (Joseph) Hildebrand of Springfield; one son, Gregory Dean Donaldson of Springfield; four grandchildren, Patrick (Mycah) Hildebrand, Jacob (Meghann) Hildebrand, Erlind Leska and Ijon (Silva) Leska; six-great grandchildren, Sommer Hildebrand, Adelyn Hildebrand, Nora Hildebrand, A.J. Leska, Matias Leska, and Iris Leska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Johnny McCubbins, Carl Miner and David Miner and special friend Al Giacomini.

Louise was a member of Athens Christian Church and volunteered at Lewis Memorial.  She was a member of Springfield Ceramic and Crafters Club.  She loved her Special Scottish Terrier Molly.  She retired from the State of IL and helped to establish the EPA.

Memorial Gathering: 10 – 11:30 am, Monday, April 18, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 11:30 am, Monday, April 18, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Ken Gennicks officiating. Private burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
