Lora L. O’Brien
Lora O’Brien, 63, of Hoffman Estates passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 19, 2022. Loving mother to Juli and Dani O’Brien. Cherished sister of Barb Frey (Laird) Luoma, Steve (Debbie) Frey and Kristine (Jim) Mitchell. Beloved daughter of the late William and Florence. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Lora will be missed by her family, friends, students, and colleagues. Teaching was her passion and she most recently taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science at St. Raymond School in Mt. Prospect. She was a kind-hearted and hands-on teacher who always put the needs of her students first. Lora loved the sand and sun and always enjoyed a day at the beach. An avid book reader, sports fan, and animal lover who will miss her pets dearly. Services will be held privately.
