Lois Virginia Sargent

Lois Virginia Sargent, 85, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 3, 2021. She was born in December of 1935 at Fletcher Hospital to the late Bethel and William McMinn; she was also predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Sargent, Jr; and one son, Marvin Sargent. 

Virginia was a hardworking woman; she was employed with Taylor Instruments for many years. Virginia’s Christian faith was unwavering and she was a lifetime member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.  She appreciated spending time her with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia loved her family more than anything else in this world. She will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her daughters, Teresa Sargent and Ann Mayfield both of Hendersonville; a sister, Lola Corn; grandchildren, Scott Sargent and wife Lisa; Wanda Higgins and husband Jody, Crystal Vanhoy, Brandon Sargent, Chad Mayfield, Shane Mayfield; great-grandchildren, Ashley Pryor, Tyler Sargent, Cody Vanhoy, Brittany Vanhoy, Austin Vanhoy, Charisma Mayfield, Chloe Mayfield, Dylan Sargent, Maisie Sargent, Haley Owens, Shelby Richardson, Bailey Sargent, Skylar Sargent, and many great-great-grandchildren.  

A funeral service will be at 2 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Locust Grove Baptist Church with  Pastor Aaron Pryor and Pastor Dan Blackwell officiating; a public visitation will be held one hour prior. A graveside service is to immediately follow.
