Lois E. Boock

Lois E. Boock

On Thursday, January 26th, the Chicago White Sox lost their biggest fan in Springfield, Lois E. Boock, 91. Her dream of becoming their “beer girl” is put to rest.

She will be sorely missed and is survived by her son Terry Klein (Sheryl) of Springfield; daughter, Diahann Boock (Pia Thompson) of Newport Beach, CA; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, James F. Boock; two brothers and two sisters.

Everyone who remembers her is asked to celebrate Lois’ life in their own way. Raising a glass of their favorite drink in her memory would be quite appropriate. Watching a Sox game would be beyond fitting.

Now, as Lois would say, “Go do something, right or wrong!”

She will join her beloved husband at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
