Linda S. Buckles

Linda S. Buckles, 69, of Springfield, died on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 26, 1952, in Rockford, IL to George E. and Lola M. (Davis) Ford. She married Robert J. Buckles on June 14, 1980, and he survives.

Also surviving are three children, Rebecca (Brian) Hampton of Springfield, Benjamin (Candice) Buckles of Loami, and Nichole (Travis) Schaal of Chatham; ten grandchildren, Kenneday, Faith, Hope, Sarah, Whittnee, Sebastian, Lucas, Haelyn, Brynlee, and Aislyn; brother, Robert (Karen) Ford of Springfield, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Phyllis Nelson, and two brothers, Larry and Keith Ford.

Linda was a resident of Springfield for most of her life. She retired from Pehlman and Dold PC as a bookkeeper, and then later came back and worked part time.

She attended Loami Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved sewing, shopping, spending time on the back of her husband’s Harley, watching Hallmark movies and HGTV, and especially spending time with her grandkids.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home -Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10 am Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield with Pastor Brian Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
