Linda M. Workman Alexander

Linda M. Workman Alexander, 64, of Mansfield, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 22, 2021. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 4, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Sawyer) Workman.

Linda enjoyed cooking, canning, her flower gardens, and animals. Most importantly, she cherished and loved her family deeply. Family was everything to Linda. Her children and grandchildren were her life’s greatest joy. She worked for Therm-O-Disc and Dayspring Assisted Living and Care Facility.

Compassion and comfort came naturally to Linda. Anyone who came to the house would be greeted with a warm hello and smile while being offered a cup of coffee or something to eat. You never left the house hungry and you would hope she had made her famous chicken and dumplings. She was a strong woman and proved herself time and time again by always holding her head high even while battling consistent pain.

Linda is survived by her beloved nurturing husband and best friend of 26 years, Lawrence “Larry” Alexander; her children, Theresa Richmond, Sabra (Paul) John, Asa (Tina) Alexander, Amanda (Sean) McKenzie, Lawrence “Bub” Alexander Jr.; her grandchildren, Destiny (Nick), William, Gauge, Acie, Avealynn, Aiden, Sydnee, Alyjah, Maddalyn, Gabriella, William, Waylon, and Sophia; her great-grandchildren, Noah, Levi, Bentley, Elizabeth, and Zayden; her brother, Michael Workman; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many beloved family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Workman; her son, Jonathan; her brother, Warren Workman; and her brother-in-law, Carl Alexander.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Life Celebration Center, 129 S. Main Street. Family and friends may gather following until 4:00 pm. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Alexander family.
