Maria Winter, nee Ratschan, age 98 of Palatine. Beloved wife of the late Michael Winter. Devoted mother to Gottfried (Karin) Winter and Michael (Helen) Winter. Cherished grandmother “Oma” to Mark (Amy) Winter, Christal (Randy) Campbell, Ingrid (Keith) Nackers, and the late Elain (David) Boburka. Adored great-grandmother to Steven (Sara) Winter, Peter (Maria) Boburka, Hanna Winter, Trevor Boburka, Nicholas Winter, Sydney Campbell, Mikayla Campbell, Ian Campbell, Tyler Nackers, and Caden Nackers. Maria was an avid baker and gardener. Her cakes will be missed forever. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 9:00am-10:45am. A funeral mass will follow at St. Theresa Parish, 455 N. Benton St. Palatine IL at 11:00am. Interment All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines.
