Lawrence A. Jacobs Jr.

Lawrence “Larry” A. Jacobs Jr., 76 years old, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Born April 11, 1945, in Lodi, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ruby (Buchanan) and Lawrence A. Jacobs Sr. Larry graduated from Madison High School and Ashland College. He was retired from the Accounting Department of AK Steel. Larry was currently working at Sam’s Club in Ontario. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to dance.

Larry is survived by his wife, Diane Long Jacobs; daughter, Felicia Minkey and Amy Jacobs; four grandchildren, McKenna, Conner, and Cole Minkey and Nevaeh Townsend; three step children, Melanie (Jeff) Davis, Joshua (Regina) Messimer and Jeremiah (Kilee) Messimer; step grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan Bundo, Becky, Isaac, Caleb, Lillian and Emma Messimer; and an aunt, Nancy Irving. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diana Dunham; and first wife, Anita Jacobs.

Honoring Larry’s request, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest in Windsor Cemetery. Larry will be missed by all.
