Larry W. Kirkpatrick
Larry Wayne Kirkpatrick, 81, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.
A son of the late Brian and Lynne (Gregg) Kirkpatrick, Larry was born March 17, 1940 at Holloway, Ohio.
Larry graduated from Flushing High School in 1958. On January 29, 1964, he married the former Arlene Thomas and the couple raised two sons, Larry and Gary.
He served as the minister of Word of Life Church at Leesville and later at Dover for nearly 40 years. Larry was also the co-owner and operator of Kirkpatrick Advertising for 29 years until he retired in 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Kirkpatrick; his sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Brenda Kirkpatrick of Galloway, Ohio and Gary and Amy Kirkpatrick of Lebanon, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Ryan and Kelsey Kirkpatrick both of Columbus, Ohio, Gregg Kirkpatrick of Lebanon, Connecticut and Grace Kirkpatrick of New York, New York.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beatrice Patraca and three brothers, Bud, Ronnie and Daryl Kirkpatrick.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place and the family will greet guests during a memorial visitation on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, Ohio.
