LaFern Ethel Fisher

LaFern Ethel Fisher, 87, of Ontario, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Ontario Pointe in Ontario, Ohio. Born June 8, 1934 in Ashland, she was the daughter of George Clayton and Ethel Eileen (Dravenstott) Knapp.

LaFern was a graduate of Ashland High School. She worked many office jobs and retired from the Bellaire, Ohio School System following 30 years of service.

She is survived by her sister, Glorene Carver of Mansfield; her brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Knapp of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Alan Fisher; two daughters, Margo Ann Fisher and Bonnie Sue Fisher; and a brother, Wil Knapp.

A graveside service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of the donor’s choice.
