Kim Lee Russell

Kim Lee Russell was the second of five children born to the late Charles and Cornelia Russell in Cleveland, Oh on April 8, 1957. She attended and graduated from John Marshall High School. She attended Livingstone College for business then later attended Ashland University where she obtained her Theology degree.

 

Kim worked as a secretary for Guardian Title, she was a cafeteria worker for Brooklawn Elementary School, and she worked downtown at CSEA collecting DNA samples. Kim was also an avid foster parent.

 

Outside of the many hats Kim wore and before becoming a minster, she was a Deaconess, served on the usher board and was a youth advisor.

 

Kim loved to cook and crochet. Kim loved to be free. Even though Kim was the second child, she and many other though she was the eldest. She was a social butterfly. Kim loved to talk; She would talk to the sidewalk if it jumped up and started talking. She had a contagious laugh.

 

Kim fellowshipped with many churches and eventually found her way back to St. Paul AME Zion church under the leadership of Dr. Audie V. Simon I.

 

Kim was preceded in death by her sister Kaye. She leaves to mourn her fiver children Samantha, Samuel, Marcus, Melvin, and Erika. One beloved grandson Jeramiah. Two sisters Mary Russell and Karen Scroggins. One brother Charles Russell. A host of nieces and nephew, other family, and friends.
