Kelly Jean Carter

Kelly Jean Carter, 50, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born July 5, 1972, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert K. Carter and Shirley (Tapscott) Leonard.

Survivors include her significant other of many years, Patrick “Pat” Lawless; daughter, Kiem A. Carter; mother, Shirley Leonard; sister, Michele Loseman; and brother, James Robert Carter, all of Springfield; and two nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Kelly was a resident of Springfield all her life. She graduated from Lanphier High School and received her associate degree from Robert Morris Business College. She was an avid speedskater years ago and won awards at various events. Kelly loved to travel, especially to Jamaica with Pat.

Cremation has been accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Springfield and burial will take place at a later date.
