Kathleen Annette Rice

Kathleen Annette Rice, 57, of Mansfield, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Kathleen was born on March 8, 1964 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born to Robert and Barbara (Neff) Young and was raised by Barney and Virginia Dilgard. Kathleen will always be remembered for her famous homecooked meals, as she was an exceptional cook, and loved sharing with her loved ones. Her dogs, Fancy, Fantasia, and Tiko, brought her happiness and she shared much love with them. Kathleen loved watching Disney films, classic television shows, and action movies. She was very talented and enjoyed crafting and sewing as well.

She is survived by her children, Sadra Woodruff of Utica, OH and Samantha Kanniard of Mansfield, OH; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Melodie, Mikylie, and Maycie Woodruff, and Mackenna and Parker Kanniard; her birth mother, Barbara Young; her mother that raised her, Virginia Dilgard; her siblings, Robbie Scarbury of Mansfield, OH, Tammy Stevens of Knoxville, TN, Shelly Steigerwalt of Ashland, OH, David Stevens of Willard, OH, Vance Stevens of Wadsworth, OH, and Penny Stevens of Abamarle, NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her birth father, Robert Young; and her father who raised her, Barney Dilgard; and a brother, Bobbie Young.

No public services will be observed. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Rice family.
