June Gambill Ervolini

June Gambill Ervolini, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her residence in Mills River, North Carolina, with her loving family by her side.  Born in Athens, Tennessee on June 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Orin and Neil Malone Gambill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Al Ervolini (August 2020); one daughter, Karen Diane DeCastro (May 2020); and one grandson, Brian Lee Sherlin (January 2021).

An avid shopper, June enjoyed doing crafts and watching TV and loved visiting Cape May, New Jersey with her family.

June is survived by two daughters, Kay Sherlin and Susan Saam (Dusty); one son, Michael Sherlin (Ellie); three grandchildren, Victoria Connolly (Zachary), Ashley Saam and Lieeth Sherlin; and four great grandchildren, Tiara Sherlin, Valerie Sherlin, Samantha Sherlin and Madelyn Connolly. She is also survived by one brother, Edward Gambill; one sister, Patricia Hamm; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with June’s wishes, the family will have a private celebration of her life.
