Julie Ann Coady, 79, of Marion, Iowa passed away on December 20, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, March 1, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marion. Burial will follow the service and take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Julie was born December 9, 1944, to Grant and Virginia (Olmstead) Long in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Marion High School. Julie worked for many years at UPS. She was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Julie loved to sew, play cards with her friends, volunteer at the church, and collect sewing machines.

She is survived by her son, Blaine Schooley; brothers, Grant Long, Dan Long, and William Long; her close friend Bob Pelletier; along with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Lynnette Schooley.
