Joseph V. Saccaro, 59, of Sherman, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center, with his wife by his side, after a hard-fought battle against COVID. He was born July 19, 1961 to Emil and Wanda (Stephens) Saccaro.
Joe is survived by his wife, Teri (Curless) Saccaro; mother, Wanda Saccaro; daughter, Nicole Saccaro; grandson, Grant Saccaro; brother, Tony (fiancé: Julie Santarelli) Saccaro; nephew, Nick Saccaro; niece, Lyndi Saccaro; and mother-in-law, Gloria Curless.
Other family members include Greg, Kenny, Bill (Georgine), Don (Carole), and Chet (Billie) Stephens, Rebecca Knoles, Betsy Kramzar, Maggie Saccaro, Mark Saccaro, Jennie Likens, Cytree Shomidie; and a host of cousins and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Emil.
Joe was a loving husband, father and son. He had a 42 year long career with IEA, and also a co-owner of the Stockyard Saloon with his brother Tony. Joe was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, he was a lifelong racing fan, and enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He made the absolute best smoked chicken wings and ribs.
Memorial Service: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield with Bill Stephens officiating.
