John W. “Jack” Gleason

John W. “Jack” Gleason, age 77 of Waterman, IL passed away at his home on Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was born on January 13, 1945 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Katherine Elaine (Sullivan) Gleason.

Jack was united in marriage on January 19, 1963 to Judith Wernick and they spent the next 59 years happily together. Mr. Gleason served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army. Jack was the Owner and Operator, for many years, of Superior Tile in Warrenville, IL. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Jack is survived by his wife, Judy Gleason of Waterman, IL; his children, Jack Gleason of Waterman, IL, Brian (Nitza) Gleason of Lee, IL, Kelly (Mike) Schroeder of West Chicago, IL and Heather (Jim) Murphy of NJ; his 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his 2 sisters, 5 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elaine Gleason; and his brother, Kevin Gleason.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 East Garfield Street, Waterman, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Funeral Home in Waterman, IL.
