Jeffrey Scott Davies

Jeffrey Scott Davies, 65, of Shabbona, IL passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at his home. Jeff was born September 22, 1957 in Elmhurst, IL, the son of John and Joan (Strauss) Davies. He married Cynthia Croyl.

Jeff worked in numerous construction trades throughout DeKalb and Kane County. He coached the softball and baseball teams for his kids. He was also the softball coach at Paw Paw High School and for the Indian Creek Recreation League. He was a member of the Rollo Congregational United Church of Christ. He served on many committees at the church, was a deacon, and sang in the church choir.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Cynthia Davies; three children, William (Danielle) Davies, Eric (Deloris) Davies, and Elyse (Brandon) Nehring; two grandchildren, Streeter Nehring and Dylan Davies; siblings John (Renee) Davies, Jay Davies, and Jill Davies; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 E. Garfield Street, Waterman, IL.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the hour of Service at the Funeral Home in Waterman, IL.
