Jason Clothier, 49, of Springville, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 17, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Burial will be held at a later date at Springville Cemetery.

Jason was born on Feb. 25, 1974, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Glenn Clothier and Pat (Graves) Miller. He was a 1992 graduate of Linn-Mar High School and went on to attend Lincoln Tech School in Des Moines, Iowa. On Aug. 8, 1998, Jason was united in marriage to Darcy Richman in Cedar Rapids. He spent many years as an automotive/heavy truck diesel mechanic and worked the last 18 years as a concrete mixer driver. Jason was very active in his Local 238 Teamsters Union and served as Steward. He was a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion and helped in fundraising activities, including an annual golf outing for the Eastern Iowa Honor Flights.

Jason was an avid Denver Broncos and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, watching NASCAR and loved all things Ford. He was so proud to be Papa to his grandchildren. Jason will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jason is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Darcy of Springville, Iowa; his mother, Pat (Tom) Miller of Springville; son, Johnny Buck of New Mexico; grandchildren, Orien and Aurora; sister, Melanie (Jim) Martin-Trainor of Cedar Rapids; their children, Aaron (Anna), Nic (Brittany), Natalie (Dalton), Jami, Christopher, Sarah and Lindsi; mother-in-law, Diane Richman of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Jodie (George) Hunt of Robins, Iowa; their children, Megan and Colin; sister-in-law, Renee (Loren) Sanders of Montezuma, Iowa; their children, Morgan (Zachary) and Dillon (Isabella); brother-in-law, Wayne Martin of Cedar Rapids; close friends, Chad (Lindy) Klett, Dave (Tasha) Egan; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn, in 2020.

A memorial fund has been established.
